Cookie Policy

Last updated: 29 April 2026

This page describes the cookies and similar technologies Scampy uses on its websites and what you can do to manage them. Mobile apps generally use device storage rather than cookies; the same principles apply.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let sites remember your actions and preferences over time. We also use related technologies such as local storage, session storage, and SDKs that perform a similar function.

2. Categories we use

  • Strictly necessary. Used to authenticate you, remember your session, route traffic, and protect against abuse. The site does not work without these and they do not require consent.
  • Preferences. Remember your language, region, and display settings.
  • Analytics. Help us understand which features people use so we can improve the product. We aggregate and pseudonymise wherever possible.
  • Marketing. Measure the performance of ad campaigns. These are off by default and only run if you opt in.

3. Third parties

Where third parties set cookies on our sites (for example our analytics or payment providers) we list them in the cookie banner and link to their own policies. We require contractual safeguards before allowing any third party tag.

4. Your choices

  • Use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer to change your preferences at any time.
  • Most browsers let you block or delete cookies via their settings; doing so may break parts of the site.
  • On iOS and Android you can reset your advertising identifier in system settings.
  • We honour the Global Privacy Control signal where required.

5. Retention

Session cookies disappear when you close your browser. Persistent cookies last between a few days and 13 months depending on their purpose; we never set persistent cookies for longer than is necessary.
